Liability
The hotel and its management cannot be held liable for lost items from hotel rooms and public areas.
Adapters
The voltage in the Netherlands is 220-230 V. Various adapters are available in our Grab & Go shop.
Airconditioning
Every hotel room in VIC is equipped with a VRF system that allows you to heat or cool the room. The VRF is controlled via the wall panel in your room.
Fire alarm
If the fire alarm sounds, we ask you to leave the building as quickly as possible. A map with the escape route is available in your room and in various public areas. Make your way to the meeting point in the parking lot at the rear of the hotel. Do not use the elevators; follow the emergency routes and use the emergency exits. Once you arrive at the meeting point, we ask that you follow the instructions of the emergency response team on duty.
Emergencies
To report an emergency, please contact reception at 31 0 71 3030 750. Calmly inform the receptionist of the location of the emergency and the situation. In the event of a fire, if possible, explain the extent of the fire. Reception will activate the emergency plan.
Cash and cards
Hotel VIC doesn't accept cash payments, but we do accept debit cards, Visa, Euro/Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Union Pay, JCB, and Maestro. If you need cash, there's an ATM across from the hotel at Ballonstraat 159G.
Doctor
Do you need a doctor or other medical assistance? Call reception at 31 (0)71 3030 750; they can connect you with the right healthcare provider.
Drinkwater
Tap water in the Netherlands is safe to drink. We also sell bottled mineral water in our Grab & Go.

Hair dryer
Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, which can be found in the bathroom cabinet.
Pets
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in Hotel VIC.
Household
Your room will be cleaned daily between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. If you don't want to be disturbed, please let our staff know by clicking the "Do Not Disturb" button on your door. Housekeeping will then leave a bag with clean items on your door.
Internet
Hotel VIC offers free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Simply select the "Hotel VIC" network. Then, launch your browser, the login page will open automatically, and you can follow the on-screen instructions to access the network.
Coffee machine
Your room is equipped with a coffee and tea maker. Here's how to use it:
Vault
In the VIC hotel rooms, you'll find a safe in the closet. You can operate it with your own code; instructions are located inside the safe. VIC guests can also use our luggage storage room.
Parking
Our parking garage is located at the rear of the hotel, on Anthony Fokkerweg. To use the garage, please request your personal access code. Parking costs €17.50 per vehicle per night.

VIC is a self-service hotel, and our hostess is available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have. You can also reach us by phone at 071 303 0750.
Reed policy
Hotel VIC is a smoke-free hotel. This means smoking is not permitted in the hotel rooms or public areas. If our staff detects smoking in your room, we will charge a €150.00 fee.
Restaurant Rubens
VIC guests can also enjoy the restaurant Rubens. Restaurant Rubens is open Monday through Saturday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On Sundays, only breakfast is served. In addition to the à la carte menu, Restaurant Rubens also offers a weekly changing 3-course menu, where you can enjoy the latest trends.
Restaurant Rubens is open for breakfast from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Monday to Friday, and for dinner from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
On Saturday and Sunday, breakfast is open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and on Saturday, dinner is open from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.

Shopping
Shopaholics will be in their element in Leiden. Haarlemmerstraat, Breestraat, and the surrounding streets are lined with charming shops. There's also a lively market every Wednesday and Saturday in Leiden's city center, located in the shopping area along Nieuwe Rijn, Aalmarkt, Vismarkt, and Botermarkt streets. The Westfield Mall of The Netherlands is also easily accessible by both car and public transport.
Taxi
Need a taxi? Our reception staff are happy to help you book one with our trusted partners. We advise you to allow an average wait time of 15 minutes, depending on the taxi company's availability. If you need a taxi in the morning, we recommend booking one the night before.
Toiletries
Did you forget something important in your toiletry bag? Like your toothbrush, shaving supplies, or a comb? Feel free to browse our grab & go section; you can find the items you need there for a fee.
Tourist Office
At the Visitors Centre at Stationsweg 26, about a two-minute walk from the hotel, you can find answers to all your questions about the Leiden area and find inspiration to make the most of your time in Leiden.
Wake-up call
You can indicate your preferred wake-up time at reception. One of our staff members will wake you at the specified time by calling your mobile number.
Laundry and dry cleaning
From Monday to Friday, you can have your laundry and dry cleaning done at the reception. If you would like to use this service, please drop off your laundry and dry cleaning in the laundry bag located in your hotel room closet, along with a completed laundry list, at the reception before 9:00 AM. If you drop off your laundry on time, you'll receive your items back cleaned that same evening, around 7:00 PM. The cost of the laundry and dry cleaning service is listed on the laundry list, and this cost will be charged to your room bill.
